Spring is here at last! Time to open the windows-air out the house- and of course conquer the dreaded spring cleaning!
If you are like me- someone who postpones the cleaning session as long as possible- then these tips are for you!

Tip 1- Declutter
A wise man once said “Out of clutter, find simplicity.” Einstein was not referring to our spring cleaning list- but nonetheless it still resonates. We all, in one way or another, have some anxiety about going through our possessions and deciding what to keep and what to toss. When you find yourself on the fence of getting rid of one of your old prized possessions, ask yourself these questions:
Do you love it?
Do you use it often (at least once in 3 months)?
Will you miss it?
If you are able to make it through with a few no’s – then it’s time to put the item into donation bin!
Tip 2-Make the most out of your space.
Functionality in your home decor is key when you are deciding what and how to store your belongings.
A few helpful hints for choosing storage for your home-
Tip 3-Get Organized!
Organization is a life saver- when actually used and applied. Try starting with the most common, yet most unorganized pieces that you use around the home- for instance your coffee table or your entryway table, which is probably stacked with mail, magazines, keys or even coasters. Use a decorative plate or tray for your keys and store it on your coffee table or in the drawer of your entryway console. When sorting the mail or your magazines, try using a basket or a decorative box for holding these items in place.
When trying to get organized in your bedroom use a wall organizer in your closet- this is actually ideal for storing your purses, wallets, scarves and other accessories! Also, try using a jewelry mannequin to display and organize your most prized jewelry for easy access.
Another excellent idea for getting organized is using a pot rack in your kitchen to keep all of your pans and skillets in order; additionally it keeps clutter off your counter tops which makes your kitchen look nice and neat.
